Following the fast track development of Thacker Pass for lithium mining, and the abrogation of various laws like Section 106 of the National Historic Places Act, NAGPRA, NEPA, and others, the continuing pressure on Oak Flat and mixed interpretation of laws there, and the unknown unknowns of the Salton Sea lithium/geothermal extraction, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Department of the Interior (DOI), and the Biden Administration are on a roll.
Next targeted is Ash Meadows, a lush oasis and "biodiversity hotspot" where Rover Metals, a Canadian company, would like to dig 30 some-odd bore-holes just over the fence-line from the springs, and the famed pupfish, and other endangered species of the National Wildlife Refuge.

O Henry's The Cisco Kid
Three episodes from 1952 featuring the Mexican "Robin Hood of the Old West" with his sidekick, Pancho. Each ends with their classic laugh, "Oh, Pancho! O, Cisco! Ha ha ha ha ha!" The Cisco Kid later made the transition to TV and appeared in comic books during the 50s as well, borrowing elements from The Lone Ranger and Zorro, though neither Pancho nor Cisco wore a mask. Despite the somewhat stereotypical accents, the two Mexican range riders are portrayed as heroic free-lance upholders of justice.
In the third episode we will listen to, Pancho is targeted for a lynching. Despite the light-hearted nature of the goings-on in the end, as "all's well that ends well", this reflected a widespread reality in the US southwest territories, later states, that were captured from Mexico -- resisters to the US conquest and occupation were portrayed as bandits, and lynchings and hangings of Mexicanos or Chicanos, while not as numerous as those against Black people in the post-Reconstruction South, were a not-uncommon occurrence in Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, to control and terrorize the Indigenous Spanish-speaking population.

In the first half of the show, Eleanor sits down with author and history professor Dr. Gerald Horne to discuss the ongoing and growing student protests across the country, the violent response to them by the police state, and how this tracks with a history of student uprisings. Dr. Horne shares his own experiences in fighting apartheid in South Africa back in the 80s and how similar but amplified tactics are at play today in the fight against apartheid Israel.
Later in the show, geographer Dr. Austin Kocher joins the show to discuss his work in tracking the relationship of space, power, and the state vis a vis immigration. Dr. Kocher shares insight into the research institute TRAC which uses FOIA requests to gain access to supposedly public record on immigration statistics, the morbid efficacy of digital detention and border control, and more.

Annalee Reid became a Medical Laboratory Scientist in 2011 and fell in love with midwifery in 2013. She then graduated from Midwives College of Utah in 2013 and became a Birth Doula living in Guatemala for 3 months serving the under-served birth centers outside of the capital and in the mountains with the indigenous midwives. She moved back to New York and had to complete a Masters in Midwifery to be licensed in New York.
She created Super Mamma Birth Services and does public speaking on women’s health topics, educates parents, and does Community Baby Showers, plus advocacy work with the Birth Justice Defenders and contributes to research for improvement of fetal and maternal health.

Later in the program, Mickey and Eleanor share their observations on how establishment media are slanting Gaza coverage in Israel's favor, going so far as to censor their own journalists to accomplish this.
