Teresa Maskery, Postpartum Doula

Teresa Maskery joins us to discuss the work and the training to become a postpartum doula. Teresa is a CAPPA Certified Labour/Postpartum Doula, Childbirth/New Parent/Educator, and the Senior Program Adviser for the CAPPA Childbirth Educator department. She has been serving clients across York Region (Ontario, CANADA) since 2008 as the business owner of My Baby Bump and Stouffville Prenatal. Teresa holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education from St. Lawrence College in Kingston Ontario, and she uses this combined skill set to support families through pregnancy, delivery, and early parenting. She joined the CAPPA faculty in 2016 to help equip and empower the next generation of doulas and educators as they expand their knowledge and develop the skills needed to have a thriving doula or birth education business.

Through her business, TRUST-Prenatal Postpartum and Doula Training, Teresa prides herself on offering interesting, innovative, interactive trainings that will increase group participation and encourage content retention. Her desire is to help YOU trust and embrace the journey you are on so you can support the families in your community.
