LGBTQ Youth & the Troubled Teens Industry
In the first half hour of the show, Pauline Park will speak with Juan Rivas, a trans man, and Gabriel Joseph Gonzlez, an openly gay Puerto Rican who spent years in the "troubled teen" industry and is now an activist working with colleagues in the We Warned Them campaign that he co-founded to bring the industry under scrutiny and regulation and end its abuse of children and adolescents " especially LGBTQ youth.

One of the original five creators, a brilliant gay artist whose life was cut short at the height of the AIDS epidemic, is discussed in this interview with Jessica Max Stein about her new book Funny Boy: The Richard Hunt Biography, published by Rutgers University Press.
