Vamos, a graduate of Reed College, “presented the Reed College Commencement Speech on May 19, 2014, where he announced that the college had decided to divest from fossil fuels,[7] a decision the college had in fact not made.”
Igor Vamos is a culture artist, known as “Mike Bonanno” in his work with the performance-activism duo The Yes Men. They are known for “infiltrating conferences, producing fake spectacles, disrupting events, destroying brands, and otherwise exposing wrongdoing…” And are dedicated to “us[ing] any means necessary to agree our way into the fortified compounds of commerce, ask questions, and smuggle out the stories of our undercover escapades to provide a public glimpse at the behind-the-scenes world of business.”
