Tuesday Night

Tuesday night:

12-1 am: Bernie Sanders, chair of the senate HELP--Health, Education,
Labor, and Pension--committee held a meeting on Community Health Centers
on Thursday March 2, 2023.

There are many acronyms used in this hear: GAO is Gov Accountability
Office; CBO is Congressional Budget Office; 340B is about drug pricing
program, Section 340B of the Public Health Service Act requires
pharmaceutical manufacturers participating in Medicaid to sell
outpatient drugs at discounted prices to health care organizations that
care for many uninsured and low-income patients; PPS is Prospective
Payment System A Prospective Payment System (PPS) is a method of
reimbursement in which Medicare payment is made based on a
predetermined, fixed amount.
This was a two hours hearing; I am only bringing you one hour of it. I
have left out all other committee senators questions/answers session.
Vice Chair of the committee is Senator Cassidy, Rep. representative of

2-3 am: “Forever Chemical” in the drinking water from consumers report.
On this webinar: Jim Rogers, Director of Consumer Reports Food Safety
Research & Testing, about what we discovered in these tests. What we can
do together to make our water safer with Brian Ronholm, CR Director of
Food Policy. We’ll also be joined by Erik Olson, Senior Strategic
Director of Health & Food at Natural Resources Defense Council and
Sydney Evans, Science Analyst at Environmental Working Group, who are
key partners in the fight to get PFAS out of our drinking water.
